About the Special Events sponsored and co-sponsored by Japan Cultural Expo and Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia
Given the opportunity of holding the United States Academy Award-recognized international short film festival “Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia (SSFF & ASIA)” which will be held for the 22nd time this year as a 2020 Japan Cultural Expo sponsored and co-sponsored Event, we will let everyone explore the aesthetic sense peculiar to the Japanese people such as “Wabi Sabi” and “Iki” which have been the indispensable part of Japanese culture since ancient times by utilizing the characteristics of short films (short films, images) gathered from all over the world.

“SSFF & ASIA 2023 in ACHI” will be held”SSFF & ASIA 2023 in ACHI” will be held in Achi Village, Nagano Prefecture, which is recognized by the Ministry of the Environment as having the Japan’s Best Starry Sky.
SSFF & ASIA will screen a program of short films specially selected by SSFF & ASIA in this beautiful natural village.
