    Chilean film and TV director. Co-founder and Director of Iquique International Film Festival. Her short films have been exhibited in important international film festivals like Tribeca, FICGuadalajara, Mar del Plata, Camerimage among others. “Desert Lights” won more than 34 internationals awards and was qualified for the Oscar. She is currently writing her feature film.

  • Requiem for a Whale

    “On a stormy night in early 2021, a whale’s body washed ashore at Nitzanim beach in Israel. Over the documentation of the encounter between people and the carcass, we hear the voices of several witnesses at the rare occurrence. From the fabric of responses, a collective experience shines regarding the dialogue between life and death.

    “Ido is a Tel Aviv-based director and cinematographer. Graduated with a BFA from the Steve Tisch School of Film and Television at Tel Aviv University. The director of several award-winning films, including “”Horah”” (Documentary short, 2018), “”Pool”” (Live-action short, 2019), “”Uzzi”” (Documentary short, 2018), and “”Requiem for a Whale”” (Documentary short, 2022).

    In rich Australian bushland, we find a Cormorant bird. She stands statuesque drying her wings and begins to guide us through her story. Following the beats of an ever-changing landscape, we gain a deeper understanding of how adaptable and abstruse the creature is and how it has been perceived through time.

    A British director currently based in Sydney Australia. Tim values craft very highly, his work often combines live-action, animation, VFX and cinematic storytelling. Tim has received international acclaim for his music videos and commercials work and continues to grow as a film-maker with emerging real-time production techniques.
